Petrol tanks
The flooding of the Yser Plain in late October 1914 stopped the German troops in their tracks. The Petrol Tanks however remained in German hands all that time. The carcases of the two reservoirs, dominated the plain. They have now been rebuilt at a scale of 1:2.
