From Friday, July 11 to Sunday, August 17, 2025

At the following tourist locations in Diksmuide, you can board or disembark from a small passenger boat:

• Vismarkt / Handzamevaart (Diksmuide center)

• Dodengang (Trench of Death)

• Yser Tower site

• Provincial Domain IJzerboomgaard / Land van Vlierbos

You can choose your departure or end point yourself. A full circuit takes approx. 1h15min on the water, including the three stops along the way. The “taxi boat” passes each stop every one and a half hours.

Tickets
Day tickets (€ 10 p.p.) are available to buy online.
Combo tickets (boat tour + Museum aan de IJzer + Dodengang) are available to buy at the Tourist Office, the Yser Tower or the Trench of Death.
- Adults: € 19 p.p.
- Children between 7 and 17 years old: € 15 p.p.

No guide is included in the boat tour.

The hop-on hop-off water service is a West-Flemish premiere.

If you would like to board with a group of more than 10 people, you can rent a boat with a skipper for your group with Buitenbeentje for € 180.

We want to give everyone the opportunity to use the boats as a means of transport.

Occupancy and Availability

All sailings are subject to availability. During busy periods, a boat may be full. In that case, we kindly ask you to wait for the next available departure or proceed to the next stop.
A valid ticket entitles you to participate but does not guarantee immediate access or a seat on a specific boat.
