Treasure Trove of Stories
The exhibition Liksems (West Flemish for 'scars') in the Treasure Trove at the Tourist Office shows how the front landscape evolved into a peaceful memorial landscape. Several artists take you through this: front painters Karel Van Lerberghe, Charles Fouqueray and Käthe Kollwitz and her son Peter. They point out the wounds, the scars we still recognise today. Opening hours expo:
From 30 March till 1 September 2024: every day (including Sundays and public holidays) from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
14 September 2024 till 31 March 2025: Monday to Saturday from 10am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm, except on the closing days listed below.
Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
