At the Tourism Office, you can discover the “Story Collection of Diksmuide and the Westhoek.” It features a unique collection of paintings, drawings, artistic objects, sculptures, and everyday items that provide insight into the lives of people from Diksmuide and the Westhoek.

Free exhibition – History within reach: 30 years of the Diksmuide City Archives
Celebrating 30 years of the city archives (1994–2024/25), this exhibition brings together a wide range of documents and objects illustrating Diksmuide’s history from the Middle Ages to modern times. Discover historical records, insights into daily life, unique artefacts, and a highlighted art collection. Experience the city’s reconstruction after World War I through interactive elements and rare footage.

The exhibition will run until March 2027.

Opening hours expo:

  • From 1 April till 30 September: every day (including Sundays and public holidays) from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Last visit at 4:30 pm.

  • 1 Octobre 2026 till March 2027:
    • Monday to Saturday from 10am - 3.30pm, except on the closing days listed below. Last visit at 3:30 pm.
    • Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

!! Closed 1, 2 and 11 November, 24 December in the afternoon, 25 and 26 December, 31 in the afternoon and 1 and 2 January.
